Helsinki aims for Hornet successor

Finland has notified five manufacturers of an intention to seek bids for its HX fighter programme, which will deliver replacements for its current 61 Boeing F-18C/D Hornets. On 16 December, the Finnish defence ministry notified the governments of France, Sweden, the UK and the USA that it will be seeking information on a total of seven aircraft types, available from the manufacturers.
