"My original life plan was to be a French teacher," said Linda Socia, CAFM~®, Manager for Vehicle Acquisition and Maintenance for the Lorillard Tobacco Company. "I have been in fleet since 1979, first with Colgate-Palmolive Company, then with Lorillard... for the last 29 years." Linda said that she has experienced many proud moments as a fleet manager, mostly from her relationships with the drivers at the companies she has worked with. "I hold a hard line with them when it comes to following our policies to reduce costs, but (the drivers) also know I'll help them out when they're in a bind with their vehicles.
