Loyal Internet customers spend almost twice as much as first-time buyers. According to the Internet Shopping Report, a study by online ecommerce research firm Binary Compass Enterprises, the average purchase amount for a repeat customer who has made six or more purchases from the same online merchant is $208 vs. $109 for first-time shoppers.
