IRU wants framework for access restrictions

The International Road Transport Union (IRU) has called on the European Commission to create a "harmonised framework" that all cities would have to apply when introducing low emission zones (LEZ) or similar access or traffic restrictions. Consultations with the sector should be a prerequisite for the creation of such zones.
