Superstatic 440 Now Also Available As Cold Meter

The demand for air conditioning of buildings is continuously increasing. The Swiss manufacturer Sontex SA is offering the static flow sensor Superstatc 440 to perform these tasks. The sensor has been optimised especially for metering cold. The author presents the measuring principle and the main advantages and features of the measuring system. Most utilities offer in additionrnto heat for space heating al-so cold for air conditioning.The static flow sensor Superstatic 440-optimised for cold metering purposes-in combination with temperature sensors and the integrator unit Supercal 531 records and meters cooling energy in the smallest temperature ranges with state-of-the-art measuring accuracy.Thus,the measuring principles of a cold meter are met by also taking into account national type approval.Even in the case of only slight temperature differences and large volume flows,the flow sensor records the cooling energy reliably and stable over extended periods of time and with maximum measuring accuracy.There are only a few magnetic-inductive-,ultrasonic- and mechanical flow sensors that meet the demands of measuring cold.
