Generators of hazardous waste meeting current Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) criteria for being conditionally exempt small quantity generators (CESQGs) will be “rebranded” as “very small quantity generators” (VSQGs) when the finalized Hazardous Waste Generator Improvements Rule (Rule) goes into effect at the federal level in 2017. But in the flurry of getting up to speed with Rule’s requirements, the EPA’s smallest class of generator (let’s call them CESQGs, for now) should keep in mind a few regulations that may not be on their radar screen but will continue to apply after the Rule goes into effect.
