Nearly 700,000 conditionally exempt small quantity generators(CESQGs)exist in the United States1. CESQGs include small businesses such as auto body shops,dry cleaners,demolition contractors,printing shops,home improvement and painting contractors. These businesses often lack the expertise and experience in dealing with the small quantities of hazardous waste that is generated at their facilities.
