MEPs from the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy this week added to the growing calls for the EU to set strict future car emissions standards - Euro 6 - when it sets Euro 5 norms, but others questioned the feasibility of car makers being able to meet the tougher limits, especially for nitrogen oxides, as well as the costs involved.
