Commission launches RoHS impact assessment study

Following the June 2011 adoption of the revised EU Directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances (RoHS) in electrical and electronic equipment, DG Environment has requested the consultancy Bio Intelligence Service (BIS) to carry out an impact assessment on a number of "substantial" changes in the directive.
