Melissa Mole and Jamie Ruprecht, final year engineering students from the University of New South Wales, are this years recipients of the DN Foster Award. The award was presented at the 2009 Coast and Ports Conference in Wellington, New Zealand by Doug Lord, the chair of the National Committee on Coastal and Ocean Engineering of Engineers Australia and Tanya Stuhl, the youngest member of the committee.rnThe award is the Doug N Foster Memorial Fellowship Fund which will be used by the students to develop their interests in coastal or ocean engineering. To win the award, the students had to submit an A4 page describing why they should receive the fellowship.
