1. Dr Nathan Groenhout has been elected the new president of the Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air-conditioning and Heating by his fellow directors. Groenhout is a mechanical engineer and has spent the past 10 years working on environmentally sustainable design as a researcher, academic and consultant. He takes over from Sean Treweek, who served in the role for more than three years and will continue to serve on the institute's board.
