Big Boost for US Offshore Wind Market in Three States

In a major commitment to the emerging U.S. offshore wind market, Danish wind developer Orsted announced on Sept. 19 the first worldwide commercial deployments of GE Renewables' megaturbine-the 853-ft, 12-MW Haliade-X now being tested in Europe-at its proposed wind farms off Maryland and New Jersey. In Virginia, Gov.
