Forecast Overview

We have nudged down our forecast for GDP growth in 2015 from 3% in January to 2.8% now, reflecting the likelihood of a soft initial reading for Q1 growth. But the outlook remains favourable, with a period of low inflation underpinning strong growth. March's Budget did little to alter the outlook, with fiscal policy in a holding pattern until after May's General Election.
