Forecast Overview

The third release for Q2 2017 saw quarterly GDP growth unrevised at 0.3%. But downgrades to the final three quarters of 2016 left the economy with less momentum coming into this year than previously thought and, though the ONS nudged up growth in Q1 from 0.2% to 0.3%, the net effect of the revisions on our forecast for 2017 GDP growth has been negative.
