When Port of Albany took delivery in 2015 of a USD4.5 million Liebherr crane, the port's second mobile harbour crane, it was a small early sign of the bigger changes now unfolding at the port. Plans include upgrades to equipment, replacement wharfage, additional warehousing, dredging campaigns for the turning circle and alongside depths, and purchase and expansion on to nearby land parcels.
