摘要

Currently, the problem of ischemic stroke is becoming more and more topical. In Russia, stroke ranks second among the causes of population mortality and is the main cause of persistent disability: over 20% of patients who survived stroke become disabled and need assistance of other persons. Acute brain injuries usually develop in able-bodied persons younger than 60 years old. Ischemic brain injuries (ischemic stroke) prevail among all stroke types. Thus, ischemic stroke is a problem of great medical and social importance.
