The Promise and Perils of Massive Open Online Courses: MOOCs and the role of law librarians

A massive open online course, or MOOC, is open to anyone and is meant to accommodate lots of students. The promise of MOOCs is accessible education. That is, people who want to learn but can't afford either the tuition or the time involved in traditional higher education can use MOOCs to learn.
