Hypertrichosis lanuginosa acquisita (HLA) is acutaneous paraneoplastic syndrome characterizedby a growth of long, thin, and nonpigmented haircovering the face and extending into the trunk andextremities. Malignancies of the lung, colon, andbreast are most common with HLA, though othermalignancies have been described [1,2]. Because ofHLA’s insidious and asymptomatic course, diagnosiscan take up to two years [1].
