Chain drive is a transmission method that transmits the motion and power of the active sprocket with a special tooth shape to the driven sprocket through the chain. It can work in harsh environmental conditions and they are widely used. However, currently widely used roller chain transmissions have significant problems such as poor stability, large running resistance, noise pollution, large energy consumption, and high maintenance costs. Therefore, based on the concept of energy saving and environmental protection, it is necessary to carry out energy-saving and environmentally friendly chain drive related technology research. In this paper, the Hertz stress formula is used to theoretically analyze the chain drive system of a mill's heat-removing graphite plate rolling mill. Then the meshing impact force of the chain drive system at a speed of 150r / min is calculated. The finite element analysis software ANASYS Workbench was used to perform modal analysis on four different specifications of graphite plates, and then the natural frequencies and mode shapes were obtained. It was found that the natural frequency of graphite plates decreased with decreasing thickness. The graphite plate natural frequency is compared with the roller rotation frequency, and the critical speed of the roller is calculated when rolling four kinds of graphite plates, which provides guidance for the selection of the roller speed in production. The research on this technology can provide a certain amount of technical support for the development of energy-saving and environmentally friendly chain transmissions.
