ABSTRACT The screening of novel bacterial colonies from soil samples collected from various places was done followed by the plate screening using well diffusion method in casein skim milk agar plate. The desired bacterial colonies from each sample were subjected to bacterial growth curve study in order to observe the exponential phase of each colony. These bacterial colonies were then observed for highest protease activity by Folin Lowry's assay. The best bacterial colony was from the soil samp.
