摘要

This paper is concerned with the fault estimation for descriptor systems by using a new concept of dynamical observer. The advantage of this new concept is the observer structure, which is more general than the proportional-integral observer (PIO) and the proportional observer (PO). The main contribution of this work is the simultaneous estimation of state and fault, the last is considered as unknown input. Sufficient conditions for the stability of the proposed observer are given in a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). A numerical example is given to show the applicability of the present approach.
