Todeterminethesuitablesubstrate,fivegrowthsubstratesviz.Soil+Sand,Soil+FYM,Soil+Sand+FYM,Soil+PM(Poultrymanure)andSoil+Sand+PMwereusedtogrowthethreetruepotatoseed(TPS)genotypesviz.TPS-9802,TPS-9804andTPS-9805.Resultsoftheinteractiveeffectofgenotypesxsubstratesonplantandtubertraitsconcludedthatmaximumgermination(90.5%),plantheight(46.3cm),microtubers(212.7),smalltubers(45.7),mediumtubers(28.2),largetubers(10.2)andtotaltubers(296.8),maximumweightofmicro(1491g),smalltubers(757.6g),mediumtubers(828.9g),largetubers(483.7g)andtotaltuberweight(3561)perunitarea(1m-2)andtotaltuberyield(35.6tha-1)werefoundinTPS-9804growninthesubstrateofsoil+sand+FYM.HoweverTPS-9805yielded(32.5tha-1)andranked2ndwithsamesubstrate.Hence,itisrecommendedforraisingTPSnursery.
