A field experiment was conducted to study the levels of potassium and sulphur on yield and quality of potato raised from seed tuber (Kufri Jyothi) and true potato seed (HPS-1/13). The study revealed that the starch and crude protein content were significantly higher in HPS-1/13 compared to Kufri Jyothi. On the other hand with respect to harvest index and bulking rate, Kufri Jyothi was superior. However, as far as tuber yield is concerned the two cultivars did not differ significantly. Highest starch(73.56 percent) and crude protein content (12.73 percent) were recorded at 125 kg potassium and 25 kg sulphur per hectare. Application of potassium 125 and 150 kg/ha and sulphur 25 kg/ha resulted in significantly higher tuber yield (22. 15 and 22.24 tonnes/ha, respectively), size of higher grade (A, B and C) tubers, harvest index and bulking rate. Combination of 125 kg potassium and 25 kg sulphur per hectare was economical in obtaining higher tuber yield.
