In the given paper the nature of intellectual education senior pupil and pedagogical conditions of stimulation of necessity in moral - educational self-improvement of high-school students is considered. The present state of educational work is characterized by deep and lingering crisis. Potentialitys of pedagogical system of a grammar school will assist the solution of a problem of engaging of pupils to socially beneficial activity, to intellectual experience украинцев, to universal worth. Valuable orientations are shaped during social development of the individual, his{its} participation in labour life.
