The article describes a pilot implementation of a model evaluation and certification of skills in the University environment, particularly in the career of Construction Engineering at the Catholic University of the North. We describe the construction process of the standard and the design andvalidation of assessment instruments.It also presents the main findingsrelated to performance and studentsatisfaction. The results show that theevaluation model has a significant effecton learning and student achievement.
