Abstract:Objective To evaluate the flipped classroom in clinical teaching of oncology. Methods 〓Totally 23 nursing interns recruited between October, 2016 and March, 2017 were selected as the control group, another 26 nursing interns recruited between April, 2017 and October, 2017 were selected as the observation group. The conventional teaching method of oncology curriculum was adopted in the control group, and the flipped classroom was carried out in the observation group. Outcomes of theory knowledge test, classroom assessment, communication and simulation test, the Positive and Negative Affect Scale(PANAS-X)were compared between two groups. Results 〓There was no significant difference in theory knowledge test outcome and PANAS-X scale between two groups(P0.05). Compared with nursing interns of the control group, those in the observation group gave a higher evaluation of teaching efficiency on teaching methods(P0.05). Nursing interns of the observation group achieved higher scores in communication and simulation test compared with those in the control group(P0.05). Conclusion 〓The flipped classroom is potentially effective to stimulate the interest of independent study among nursing interns. It shows positive influence on learning motivation, attitude and emotion of nursing interns.
