Histological findings were consistent with an adrenal cortical adenoma. Subsequently, creatinine rose to 1.7mg/dl. Renal biopsy revealed primary tubular interstitial nephritis with isometric vacuolations in proximal tubules without evidence of hypertensive nephrosclerosis, conforming a diagnosis of kaliopenic nephropathy.
