TheaimofthispaperistoelucidatesomeofdistinctivefeaturesofSpinoza’sconceptionofthehumanbeing.Therefore,itisshownthathisanthropologytakesanaturalisticperspectivecommittedtothedualtheoreticalandpracticaldimensionofaffectswhilerecognizingthisdualaspectofreligion.Thismeans,accordingtoSpinoza,thatisnotpossibletocompletelyeradicatethereligiousdimensioninthehumanbeing.Thus,wemustdistinguishbetweenthereligioninheritedbytraditionandtheappropriateideaofreligionorthenaturalanduniversalreligion.
