摘要

The objective of this study is to analyze the responses of students in 9th grade of elementary school onthe theme Earth's orbit around the sun as well as investigate the approach in science textbooks used bythe teacher. Reflections were developed from a questionnaire answered by students. From the analysis itwas found that although the subject has already been working in the classroom, many students continueto have many different conceptions of the subject. Such views are confronted with the analysis of theapproach presented in the textbook. We argue about the importance of the teacher work in theclassroom teaching different methodological strategies to assist students in learning the subjectaddressed, especially in points of more abstract features of the subject.
