The approaches to the use of spatial development indicators in the analysis and forecasting of social and economic development in the Russian science

The article discusses approaches to using the spatial development indicators in theanalysis and forecasting of social and economic development in Russia. In the article are giventhe options of drawing up of integrated indicators and a classification of "problem" areas.It has been established that the task of regional policy is to maximize the reduction of the levelof inter-regional differentiation. It was found that problems of the spatial structure of thenational economy and forecasts of socio-economic development at the level of the RussianFederation are described by mainly one indicator (gross regional product) with a minimum ofanother small circle indicators. The article describes the need to consider the system of indicatorsof regional development based on the achievements of the world's economic and bestpractices in this area.
