THE ASSEMBLY LINE BALANCING PROBLEM AND ITS SOLUTION USING C LANGUAGE

The methodologies used in assembly line balancing problem are i) Analytical methods ii) Heuristic methods .we have used Heuristic methods in line with W.B.Helgeson and D.P. Birnie. ALBP is of great importance in industrial production. we have used nine work elements to solve the ALBP. The cycle time is kept constant and we have designed the optimum number of work stations which has minimize the balance delay i.e maximizing the line efficiency. C programming language is used to solve the problem
