Obstacles of Using Digital Information Resources Stored in (CDs) in the Library by Faculty Members of Al-Hussein BinTalal University

摘要

This study aimed to find out the obstacles of using digital information resources stored on (CDs) in the library by members of faculty of Al-Hussein Bin Talal University. The study used a descriptive survey method, with a sample consistedof62individual, (20%) of the original community, and a questionnaire consisted of two parts: the first, which included demographic data for the respondents, the second consisted of three domains: 1- the obstacles of using digital information resources stored on (CDs) related to the members of the faculty. 2- the obstacles of using digital information resources stored on (CDs)related to the library and its staff. 3-Theobstacles of using digital information resources stored on (CDs) related to digital information resources stored on the(CDs). This study showed that the majority of respondents prefer to use electronic resources of information available on the internet. There is also a weakness in the important services provided by the library to the researchers, In addition to the inaccuracy in organizing of the (CDs). The study recommended: the need to regulate resources of digital information stored on (CDs)accurately, preparing equipped and dedicated hall for (CDs), increasing the awareness of the importance and use of (CDs) by making training courses for users, and providing the modern information services .
