Headquartered in Washington, DC, Installations and Logistics (I&L) comprises 5 primary divisions (Facilities & Service, Small Business Programs, Marine Corps Business Enterprise Office, Logistics Plans, Policies, Strategic Mobility Division, and Logistics Support Division) all operating with specific missions in mind:rn1. Enhance logistics support of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF), the Nation's premier expeditionary force-in-readiness, across the spectrum of conflict rn2. Increase equipment readiness through "cradle-to-grave" management of weapons systemsrn3. Improve combat readiness through innovationrn4. Deliver the highest quality support, services, and amenities to our Marines and Families in garrison and while deployedrnMilitary bases and stations are the "fifth element" of the MAGTF because of their close link to the operating forces. I&L aims to ensure that installation assets and capabilities are always available to support operations and training requirements.
