A quark with cafe au lait flavour has been awarded a top German dairy quality prize at its launch. The quark bread spread, which is said by Allgauland to be especially creamy, is one of the first dairy spreads to be launched with this flavour. The food testing department of the German Agricultural Society (DLG) used consumer taste panels and professional tasters backed up by laboratory analyses for their deliberations. The Allgauland quark ended with a gold medal in its class.
