Germany's Allgauland Dairy is selling German butter on the fiercely patriotic French dairy produce market. Its new premium butter product Beurre Allga'u is being sold across the French border under the new Valmartin label. Better known as cheese specialist with an annual production of around 30,000 tonnes, Allgauland produces around 7,000 tonnes of butter as well. The dairy has teamed up with its French daughter firm Sengele to launch Beurre Allga'u, as well as new pre-packed Emmental cheese portions (pictured) and a range of fondue cheeses for France.
