Italy says no to liquid milk

Retail milk consumption per capita in Italy was less than 29 litres in 2014, and has been declining in recent years, dropping 2.3 per cent in volume in 2013 and another 3.1 per cent in 2014, according to Mintel estimates. While milk is also sold through food-service venues, those outlets have not managed to sustain the category, and total market volumes also declined in 2013 and 2014.
