摘要

Recently, fractional (non-integer) differential and integral equations have received intensive attention and research. Consequently, there is an increasing interest in fractional-order dynamic systems and controllers. This paper uses fractional-order proportional-integral (PI) and proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controllers to improve stability and transient response of feedback automatic voltage regulator (AVR) control system. The interaction between the AVR system and the automatic generation control (AGC) has been investigated in the paper. The paper will show that fractional-order PI and PID controllers perform better than traditional integer-order PI and PID controllers.
