Interserve chairman Glyn Barker (pictured) is preparing to step down, according to Sky News. It was reported that the contractor's board was working with executive recruitment firm Heidrick & Struggles to identify a successor. Mr Barker was heavily involved with Interserve's proposed deleveraging plan and subsequent pre-pack administration earlier this year. He was the senior figure that took on rebel shareholder Coltrane when it attempted to derail the contractor's proposed rights issue, in a statement asking shareholders to back the deal.
