"I was pleasantly surprised to read the article in December 2013 about the historical facts on the Euclid and EMD relationships with General Motors. The outstanding thing in the article was the picture; it was a picture of a Euclid earthmover and an EMD locomotive, both at work and lookin' good. The most significant thing in the picture was that the operator on the Euclid earthmover was my brother, John William (Bill) Shields.
