The German confectionery market has traditionally performed strongly, both in terms of finished product, as well as equipment and systems serving the sector. However, economic uncertainty has played its part in making the past year a particularly challenging one from both a retail and equipment manufacturing perspective. Having recently attended the ProSweets and ISM shows dedicated to the entire expanse of the industry, Confectionery Production noted there were some encouraging signs regarding machinery development, as manufacturers prepare for the 'big show' that is Interpack in Dusseldorf this May.
