The aim of Highways England's Ml J19 Improvement Scheme is to improve Junction 19 of the Ml motorway, related sections of the M6 motorway, and the A14 trunk road. This junction forms a crucial interchange between these three major trunk roads with over 142,000 vehicles passing through daily. It is a vital intersection for north-south and east-west traffic movements across the UK, as well as the A14-M6 corridor, which is part of the Ireland-UK-Benelux Trans-European network (TEN).
