Access, use and perceptions of teachers and students towards mobile phones as a tool for teaching and learning in Tanzania

The author and researcher Ayoub Kafyulilo understandably wants to advance educational technology in Tanzania. This is his field and the location where he teaches. Mobile phones, the technology most accessible to Tanzanian teachers and students, have not been readily accepted as educational tools. The government has even banned mobile phone use in schools because of non-learning uses by students.
