A note on a pseudo-random number generator for personal computers

A combined random number generator by Wichmann and Hill is studied in this note. Statistical and numerical computations show that a good initial value for this generator is not so easy to obtain, and hence the use of such generator seems dubious. (c) 2005 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
