Introduction to the Special Issue on the First Swedish Workshop on Multi-Core Computing

摘要

Multicore processors have become the main computing platform for current and future computer systems. This calls for a forum to discuss the challenges and opportunities of both designing and using multicore systems. The objective of this workshop was to bring together researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to present and discuss the recent work in the area of multicore computing. The workshop was the first of its kind in Sweden, and was co-organized by Blekinge Institute of Technology and the Swedish Multicore Initiative.
