Indulge me for a moment to take a trip down memory lane to a time when you experienced the excitement of learning a new skill, creative technique or medium for the first time. For many, having just returning from the recent CHA trade show, you might not have to think that far in the distant past. Perhaps you'll recall knitting a scarf while under the direction of a patient grandmother, relative or friend? Maybe it was a class you took on anything from scrapbooking to tole painting? Was it a 'how-to' book or instructional video that you picked up to learn a new craft in the leisure of your own home? Did you look on with astonishment as a designer on TV, at your local store or in a trade show booth used rubberstamps on more surfaces than just paper? Wow! Now that really opened the door to more possibilities. I'll bet you couldn't wait to give it a try yourself!
