Putting Designcentre Stage!

Defra, in partnership with the Departments for Communities and Local Government and Communities for Architecture and the Built Environment, will soon be publishing new guidance on the design of waste facilities: Designing Waste Facilities, a key guide to modern design in waste. This new resource is intended to offer a general insight to the various approaches to design rather than prescriptive guidance. It introduces some of the well-established concepts and approaches of the urban and rural design vocabulary to the waste management arena. It does not endorse any particular facility, rather an aspect of its design approach.
