Bioplastics: Fact or Fiction?

Following the publication of an article on bioplastics in the March issue, and other articles in the press these last few months, David Newman and his colleagues at the Bio-Based and Biodegradable Industries Association (BBIA) were driven to compile a factsheet on the subject - what bioplastics can and cannot do; recycling options; and common misconceptions that need clarifying.
