摘要

Tetrahydrofolate (THF) coenzymes are involved in biochemical transfer of a one-carbon fragment at different oxidation levels. The study of THF models may provide a valuable class of reagents for group transfer reactions with practical significance. Only a few researches about 5, 10-methenyl-THF models have been reported in literature. Therefore, imidazolinium salts 3a,b which serve as models of 5, 10-C~+CH_3-THF have been synthesized in the present work.
