Beginning from the second half of July 2005, some cities in the eastern and southern areas of China appeared a widely and severely short situation of oil products supply lasting for more than one month. This was caused not only by such the factors as higher world's oil price, leap increase of oil consumption in peak season and oil products transport hindered by typhoons, but also related to the weak links in production and transport such as irrational distribution of oil products production and the construction lagging behind of oil transportation channels.
