Hepatitis C virus PNA detection in serum and pe- ripheral blood mononuclear cells of patients with hepatitis C

To investigate the existence of hepatitis C virus (HCV) RNA in serum and in peripheral blood mononu- clear cells (PBMC) of patients with hepatitis C and its clinical significance. HCV RNA was detected by nested-poly- Merase chain reaction (Nested-PCR) in serum and in PBMC of 46 patients with acute hepatitis C (AHC) and In 42 with chronic hepatitis C (CHC).
